Me, my husband and my two kids took part in a 6 hour private climbing session last week and it was absolutely fantastic.
We felt so safe the whole way through and were getting very adventurous with what we were trying by the end of the day.
The kids loved the environment and haven't stopped talking about Paul the instructor since. He told great stories and helped us with our techniques as we started to progress during the day.
I have a son who is11 and a daughter who is 7 and the day really brought them closer together as my son really stepped up to help his little be brave and do more things on the rocks.
Take layers everybody because the weather can change quickly but overall I seriously recommend Climb Dartmoor.
For a work event, we booked a climbing experience day with Climb Dartmoor to get outside and bring the team closer together in a bit of a different environment. It certainly did not disappoint.
Paul and the team were so accommodating and helpful from the moment we booked and stayed in touch regularly with updates about meeting location and the weather too and what to bring. This made us feel like we were in safe hands.
As the day progressed, each of us got individual attention on our climbing and belaying technique and I'm no professional but we were getting really good and really smooth by the end.
Since the day 2 of the group have actually taken up climbing as a regular hobby!
Myself, my mate Dan and our two sons completed the 2 day rock climbing course with Climb Dartmoor. We have now booked for the rope rigging course in Spring so that we can actually do this properly at weekends.
We covered so much and Paul kept the young lads really engaged the entire time, which isn't the easiest job. Our technique got so much better across the two days and we had a really really good time out on the Dartmoor, which is gorgeous.
Safe to say we were knackered by the end but a weekend very well spent. We stayed nearby in a B&B that Paul and the team recommended and it was good value for money and top notch.
